We need YOU to roll up your sleeves and help us make next week's beloved community event happen. Blaine Move-A-Thon

Get Ready for the 2025 Blaine Move-A-Thon! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Mark your calendars for Friday, May 30th! Our annual Move-A-Thon fundraiser helps support PTA programs that enrich K-8 education at Blaine. Students will walk/run laps on the playfield to raise funds for everything from art supplies to classroom technology.

How It Works:

  • Students run/walk for 25 minutes by grade level.

  • Register on PledgeStar to participate and start collecting pledges!

  • Fun prizes and t-shirts for all registered participants.

  • Daily drawings leading up to the event!

Were you a Blaine K-8 art student? I’d love to showcase your recent work in the Alumni Section of our upcoming Visual Arts Show on Wednesday, May 21st, 7–8:30 PM at Catharine Blaine!

Submit a piece you’ve made in the past year and help us celebrate your creativity!

If you purchase something from this list, the address associated with the list is the schools address so it will ship directly to the school—please remember that no one will be there to receive packages over the weekend. If you purchase an item and have it shipped to your home, you can drop it off in the office with Ms. Goulart’s name on it.

New to Blaine? The Auction is one of our main ways to fundraise (alongside Giving Campaign and Move-a-Thon) to help bridge the gap in SPS tiered funding for our school. Funds support staffing for roles like counselor, nurse, and recess monitor and programs including as PE supplies, library books, art, music, and garden. We also fund some curriculum, mini grants and more for our staff!   • Thurs: PTA Trail Mix Bar; Sign Up

  • Fri: PTA Coffee for staff

Classroom Ideas

  • Cards/artwork from students - physical or online, check out kudoboard

  • Case of the Mondays - bring your teacher's favorite beverage to drop off

  • Lunch bunch - treat your teacher to lunch (different day than Wednesday). Local ideas I've used in the past: Damoori KitchenSerendipityFisherman's Green Market.

  • These are a few of my favorite things - put together a bag or basket of your teacher's faves (refer to favorite things form filled out earlier this year)

  • Restock the classroom - does your teacher have an Amazon wishlist?

It's spring and time for a garden refresh! 

Join us for a fun, casual work party on SUNDAY APRIL 6th, 12-3pm.

Come for as little or as long as you are able.

We'll be weeding, planning spring planting, reinforcing the trellises, hanging wasp traps, and spreading fresh compost.

Dress in your brightest neon colors and dance the night away on our black light dance floor. One night- two dances.

5-6:30 PM Elementary Family Glow Dance. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

7-8:30 PM Middle School Glow Dance hosted by the ASB.
